Harvey Elliott
Harvey Elliott was a childhood Liverpool fan and began his youth career at Queens Park Rangers, where he joined at an early age. He later moved to Fulham’s youth setup, where his technique and flair impressed coaches. His standout performances at U18 level, despite his age, earned him early invitations to train with the first team.
On 25 September 2018, Elliott became the youngest player to make a professional appearance for Fulham—and the youngest ever to appear in the EFL Cup—when he came off the bench in a 3–1 win against Millwall, aged just 15 years and 174 days.
On 4 May 2019, he became the youngest player to feature in the Premier League when he appeared in the 88th minute of a match against Wolves. Aged 16 years and 30 days, he broke a long-standing record, which was eventually surpassed by Ethan Nwaneri in 2022.
Elliott joined his boyhood club Liverpool at the end of July 2019, reportedly turning down several top European clubs including Real Madrid. A tribunal later ordered Liverpool to pay Fulham a record fee of £4.3 million for a 16-year-old. He made his first professional start for the Reds in an EFL Cup win against MK Dons, becoming the youngest ever starter for the club.
In October 2020, Elliott was loaned to Blackburn Rovers, where he enjoyed an outstanding season—scoring and assisting regularly. He was nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Season award, narrowly missing out to Michael Olise.
Harvey signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool in July 2021 and has since become a valuable member of the first-team squad. He has featured both in midfield and on the right wing, though under Arne Slot he has struggled to secure a consistent starting role.
Nevertheless, his technique, vision, and determination have endeared him to the Liverpool fanbase. He recently expressed his commitment to fighting for his place at Anfield rather than seeking more minutes elsewhere.
