Konstantinos Tsimikas

Konstantinos “Kostas” Tsimikas began his career at his local team, Neapoli Thessaloniki, when he was 14 and spent three years there. He then spent a season at Panserraikos, where he scored five goals, catching the eye of Greek giants Olympiacos, who signed him in 2014.

During his time with Olympiacos, Tsimikas enjoyed loan spells at Esbjerg in Denmark and Willem II in the Netherlands. His performances at Willem II earned him a recall to Olympiacos’s first‑team, and he helped the club clinch the 2019–20 Super League Greece title. His displays domestically and in the Champions League attracted Liverpool’s scouts and data analysts.

In 2020, he completed a move to Liverpool, where he has largely served as deputy to Andrew Robertson; however, he has delivered in key moments—dispatching the winning penalty in the 2022 FA Cup Final against Chelsea and assisting Virgil van Dijk’s winner in the 2024 Carabao Cup Final, also versus Chelsea.

With Robertson struggling for form under Arne Slot, “the Greek Scouser” has had opportunities to showcase his quality. He has a reputation as a a fan favorite and looks to be a popular figure in the dressing room. His crossing ability, personality, and team spirit remain valuable to the squad; however, with Liverpool reportedly seeking further left‑side reinforcements, it seems likely that Kostas will depart this summer.
