Vítězslav Jaroš
Vítězslav Jaroš began his youth career at FK Příbram in his native Czech Republic, spending three seasons there before moving to Czech giants Slavia Prague, where he spent a further six years.
In 2017, Jaroš joined Liverpool’s Academy at age 16. He started with the U‑18s under Steven Gerrard and won the FA Youth Cup in only his second season. He graduated to the U‑23s in 2019 and made his first‑team debut in a pre‑season friendly against Tranmere Rovers. Shortly after, he suffered an elbow injury that required surgery, halting his progress with the first‑team squad.
Jaroš signed a new contract in 2020 and enjoyed a successful loan at St. Patrick’s Athletic, where he won the FAI Cup and was named the club’s player of the year. He returned to England for loan spells at Notts County and Stockport County in 2022–23. A year later, he joined Austrian side Sturm Graz on loan, making 21 appearances as they secured the league and cup double.
To date, Jaroš has made just one official senior appearance for Liverpool: in a Premier League match against Crystal Palace, he replaced Alisson for the final ten minutes and kept a clean sheet. He impressed in that outing, and although he has yet to challenge for the starting role, Liverpool will be keen to retain their homegrown, third‑choice goalkeeper—whose quality and academy pedigree remain valuable assets in a 3rd choice goalkeeper.
